#6filmchallenge | "Day in the Life" Vertical Video

In March and April, our #6filmchallenge to our Academy members was to create a 'Day-In-The-Life' (DITL) Film; a film that focuses on the everyday moments of their daily lives. To up the challenge, we asked each participant to film in a VERTICAL orientation, flipping their camera away from the standard horizontal orientation. For many, this was a new skill both in shooting and in editing! Some chose to use their DSLR cameras, some chose to use their mobile devices, and some combined both devices to create their film.

#6filmchallenge | "Love Letter" | FilmingLife Academy Member

Here at FilmingLife Academy, we started off the year by asking our members to consider writing a ‘Love Letter' to someone in their lives and creating a film around that spoken letter. Whether a letter spoken by Mom or Dad to a child, or grandparent or even a favourite furry friend, we wanted to give our members a challenge that not only enabled them to have an incredible Keepsake Film for their family but also ask them to incorporate a fair bit of recorded audio into that film… a challenge in itself!
